1. Let Mario Williams Walk- Proven to be non-essential last season, his cost will exceed his value to the team.
2. Re-sign Chris Myers- The “center” of one of the best offensive lines in the NFL
3. Re-sign Arian Foster- He’s too good and too valuable in all aspects of the game to lose him, even with Tate and even for a 1st round pick.
4. Sign Robert Meachem (or Brandon Lloyd, Manningham, Garcon)- We need speed and playmakers at wideout. Meachem fits that description and can block too!

5. Sign one of the following: Cliff Avril, Anthony Spencer, Robert Mathis, Jarrett Johnson, Ahmad Brooks, Matt Roth- Mario’s loss means they will need depth at OLB. Not just depth, but quality depth.
6. Sign Terrell Thomas or Richard Marshall- These guys will be relatively inexpensive. They are very physical and versatile. I think they are more sound than Allen and Allen is looking for a payday. The Texans need a veteran at corner. After Joseph, everyone is too young and inexperienced to be relied on fully.
7. Re-sign Biscuit Brisiel- Caldwell scares me and Wade Smith’s performance dipped last year. I love Shelley Smith but I’m basing that on two preseason games two years ago.
8. Let Jason Allen walk- Makes plays but is inconsistent. I think the Texans can get better value elsewhere.
9. Re-sign Joel Dreessen- Does everything well and is a great bang for the buck. His presence allows Casey to be used at fullback.
10. Stretch and massage Andre Johnson’s hamstrings daily- It would be nice to have a healthy Andre Johnson now that we’re actually good!
The Texans have an opportunity to enter the draft without a glaring need. That kind of luxury increases the chances of a great draft, not to mention remarkable depth. Considering the cap ramifications, what moves would you like to see between now and the draft?
